On Febuary 28th, 2005 (which also happens to be Zack's Great Grandpa Syd's birthday), a very special moment happened at our home with all of us there to see! Zackery David took his first step! It was in our kitchen and we all watched with delight! Much to our disappointment, a whole 2 weeks passed before he did it again though...so figures, right? BUT when he did it again, it was just for mommy to see. He had just gotten up from his morning nap when I put him down on the ground, and to my surprise, he walked away! 6 whole steps over to the toy chest. Since he was walking away from me, I was able to do the happy dance without scaring him;)hehe Little by little over the next couple of days he began walking enough for even most of the grandparents and some of our friends to see! As of March 23rd he is considered a "walker" as far as we are concerned. He is RARELY crawling now and oh do we have our hands full! But we are LOVING it!!! YAY ZACK! ![]() |

![]() CLICK HERE FOR 18 MONTH PICS May 3, 2005 Zack is 18 months old!!! I can't believe it, truly... How does the time move so fast?! He is still such a little guy, but is getting so smart and cute and FUN! He can do the shape sorter and LOVES his shape puzzle, he now RUNS everywhere, and my boy can talk! He is now calling me MAMA after months of being called Mimi. He can say "uppy (up), duck, dog, more milky, hi, bye, look (when he's pointing at something), stop (yeah, that's a fun one), NO (another fun one), and the list goes on! He truly is adding new words to his list everyday. Will and I keep looking at eachother thinking "Did he just say what we think he said?!" And YES! He is for sure doing it and we're loving his cute little voice as it becomes more clear. Zack is still the carb king...he is happiest with cookies, crackers, bread, pasta...again, ANYTHING carb. Apparently he is tall and thin (go figure). Well actually he's not "thin," he's just exactly average for weight being at the 50th%. He weighs 28.5 pounds, but for height he is 33.5 inches which is in the 75-80th%. He got 3 shots at his 18 month checkup and was such a good boy:) I was very proud of him. He hardly whimpered, but broke my heart nonetheless. He is a healthy little guy...ever since he had the tubes put in his ears back in Febuary. He's a keeper:) |
