Zackery David is 6 months old:) Zack enjoyed celebrating his 6 month birthday in NY with all of his relatives there. Everyone enjoyed him so much and we all miss them already. He is growing up, getting bigger by the day. He weighs a whopping 20 pounds (90%) and is 28 1/4 inches long (95%). He is eating 20 ounces a day of formula and tons of solids now. A typical day for him is a bowl of oatmeal (3 big tbsp.) with a jar of stage 1 fruit mixed with 2 ounces of formula. Lunch is a 9 ounce bottle with 1 tbsp rice. Dinner is 2 stage 2 jars of food...1 being a veggie and 1 being a meal. Then at bed another 9 ounces. For a snack after dinner he is having zwieback toast. What a piggy!:) He is not moving much yet, but boy can he talk up a storm. He sounds like he is saying "HI" and Katelyn is 100% sure he is!:)hehe She says it back to him everytime he says it, and if we ask her what he's saying, even if it doesn't sound remotely like it, she'll say "Oh yes Zack, that's right, hi hi!" It's soooo cute. He is on his back in the crib now for all naps and as far as skills go, he is doing a great job of grabbing items and passing them back and forth from hand to hand. He is also a whiz with his nunny (aka pacifier). He can pop it into his mouth and loves saying "Ay yi yi" and chomping on it. He is wearing 12 months or 18 months clothes...what else...getting some hair. No teeth yet. His reflux is still bad, but getting better with more solids and as he learns to sit up. He is truly a joy most of the time...very rarely is fussy, mostly just in the evening before bed. We love him bunches and can't believe 6 months has already passed! YAY ZACK!

 Our chubba lova is 7 months old...how the heck is this happening so fast?! He is a roly poly, literally. He rolls from back to belly and back...can maneuver around pretty well using his forearms (Yep, military crawling like Kate did...well almost...not just yet). He is sitting up much better, but still needs some work on that. What is truly amazing now is seeing that understanding in his eyes when we make funny faces with him. He KNOWS what is funny and what isn't;) He can take his paci in and out of his mouth, he listens well to big sister reading him stories, loooooves Spongebob's theme song. My favorite thing is making him excited...he flaps his arms up and down and smacks his thighs...it is SO hilarious. He also blows raspberries so seriously...ahhh, such a funny age. We are truly enjoying him to bits. He is getting too big for his jumper which is a shame...the boy is in 18 month clothing!!!!!! Every month gets better and better:) |

FUNNY moment...Note: Zack started rolling all over on June 1st. Kate went to dance class on June 7th. They had all of the kids sitting and flapping their legs, pretending they were butterflies (to stretch). They asked the kids where they wanted to fly to. Katelyn said "To New Yawk (York) to visit Gandpa Syd:)" Another kid said to the movie theater to see Harry Potter. Katelyn said "Nono, ALICELAND!" (like he was dumb for saying that...and that means Alice in Wonderland). Then they asked all of the kids their names and what color butterfly they wanted to be. Katelyn said "Kate-in Hu-sin" and then looked at her dress and said "Purple." One boy said his name was Brett and then his mom looked confused and said his name was Jake...ahhhh, this age is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! They then had the kids lean forward to stretch between their legs. The teacher asked what they saw in the ocean so Katelyn piped in once again to announce "I went to the beach last night (which means yesterday, and yes that's true) and I saw sand cabs (crabs)"...gotta love my girl. She had more to say today in class than all of the other kids put together. She enjoys it soooooo much! |

 July 3, 2004 Zack is 8 months old! Zack is 8 months old! Our wiggley guy is losing his "baby" look and looking mroe like a little boy. His hair is finally growing in, no teeth yet though. As of June 19th he is sitting up perfectly. His coordination is unbelievable sometimes. He can bat at an object and catch it in mid air or even twirl this one toy he has around and around. Zack is an expert at making noises with his mouth now that crack us up...from respberries to flicking his bottom lip like he is an indian (hard to explain, have to see it)...it's hilariousHe is somewhat army crawling...he manages to get around the room quite well! He is saying "Hi Dadadadadada" (started that on July 12th) That's about as clear as anything has been:) He is wiggling around so much on the changing table that I had to take down his wall hanging!;) Silly boy... His favorite thing to do is play with his activity table, watch Einstein videos, and even more recently is to hang out in our outdoor swing. He is such a happy sweety, except for his teething. Every evening he is still miserable with that, but is a goooooooood sleeper;) He and big sis Katelyn stay in bed till almost 8am every morning. He goes to bed at 8pm and she goes down at 8:30...so no complaints. Katelyn loves playing peek-a-boo with him and makes him giggle in the backseat of the car everywhere we go. She loves him so very much... |

Zack is 9 months old:) He weighs 22 pounds 7 ounces (88%) and is 28 inches long (77%). What a funny little boy he is. He's babbling mamama, nanana, dadada, what sounds like "ubble"...and all sorts of sounds. He has said "Hi Da" and "mama" (August 15th). That's about as legible as it gets. He is crawling like an army man still, but pulling up to stand as well (August 16th):) Big break through is no Zantac at night! He is outgrowing his reflux. His favorite pasttimes are playing with big sis in his new room and playing with his animal zoo. He loves hearing the monkey;)
