On January 10th Will and I decided it was time to conquer an inevitable task with Katelyn: POTTY TRAINING! I made a sticker chart and put it next to the potty. After months and MONTHS of reading all sorts of stories about potties to Katelyn, I knew she understood the concept of the potty and heck, she loved sitting on her potty with her clothes on, so I figured, this can't be that hard! HA! Well, it really wasn't that hard timewise, but the energy that went into it was! For the first week we had 1 good day where she peed 4 times on the potty. Every other day was just 1 or 2 times. But then Friday came and Katelyn got an ear and eye infection so potty training came to a hault. We decided to give it a shot again on Friday the 23rd:) Jan. 23- DAY 1: I asked her every minute practically if she had to go potty and took her to the potty every half hour or so. Well, that wasn't so fun...she played with her best friend, Nicole that morning. Both strutted around in their pull-ups having accidents right and left. She even peed on our carpeting that afternoon. I was sooooo frustrated. DAY 2: The next day, Saturday, she had a poop accident when on a walk with daddy, but started peeing on the potty that day really well, but still had a few pee accidents. DAY 3: The following day, Sunday, Grandpa David's Birthday, Katelyn did AWESOME! She even went pee at Grandma Marcia's! DAY 4: The following day, Monday, she had just 1 accident and actually asked to go potty when she woke up! DAY 5: On Tuesday she woke up bone dry and was completely dry when she woke up from her nap as well! She had 2 teeny accidents ON THE WAY to the potty...overall a GREAT day! DAY 6: Then on the following day Katelyn woke up dry again and went to the bathroom all by herself at 7:45am! DAY 7: And....drum roll please...today, January 29th, we have had a completely dry day and a poop in the potty!!!!!!!! SHE'S COMPLETELY POTTY TRAINED TODAY ON HER 7th DAY OF TRAINING! YAY KATELYN! She has gone to the potty by herself all day today and we are so so proud of her!:) |

Today is Febuary 3rd...my sweet son's 3 month birthday! He is approximately 15.5 pounds according to our scale at home. He is a BIG bundle of joy!:) Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a more content sweet baby. He is smiley, cooing all the time, loving ALL of us. Katelyn cracked us up tonight cause when he was crying we asked her to sing him a song. She sang him the abc's, stopping midway to say "He doesn't like that song" (since he kept crying). Anyhow, it is moments like that that will forever leave an imprint in my mind as to even when he is screaming, he is so much fun for all of us. He is also losing his hair in the back of his head which is absolutely hilarious. He has a fringe by the top of his neck...resembling my grandpa's remarkably!:)hehe Let's see, what else... He started giggling just a couple of days ago, on Feb. 1st to daddy. Apparently daddy commented on something, saying "sweeeeeeet" and Zack thought he was the funniest thing ever. It was great. Today we took him for his 3 month pictures. He wasn't as smiley as his big sis, but when he showed us his gummy grin, we got the best pic ever. We'll share it soon! So that's it...he's holding up his head great to see the world around him, watching Baby Mozart everyday VERY happily, batting at his toys and loving life as much as we're loving him:) It's alllll good here! |
