Zack meets Aunt Donna!:)

*Today Zack smiled for the first time!!!!

Zackery David is 2 months old! He rewarded us for all of our hard work and love by showing us his first REAL smile on December 26th:) We had our friends over (Cyndee, Pete & Nicole) and he was sitting on dad's lap when suddenly he flashed a big 'ol smile at Will when he was playing with him. It was wonderful. I got to enjoy a smile from him right after that and every morning since. He looooves to smile when I change his diaper. It's a nice change from all of the screaming he used to do when I'd open his diaper!:) Zack is also getting HUGE! He is definitely proving to be a hungry man already. The way to his heart is definitely through his stomach...5 times a day + his 1 night feeding. He takes anywhere from 4-7 ounces at each feeding. I have started giving him "breakfast lunch dinner" bottles with cereal in it. At breakfast & lunch he gets 2 teaspoons of cereal and at dinner he gets 2 tablespoons. He is a HUNGRY guy who can barely go 3 hours between feedings during the day (he's more like every 2.5 hours). At night he does about a 7 hour stretch and then a 5 hour one:) Of course there's some fussing, but we consider ourselves so darn lucky for this. Katelyn was muuuuuch harder! But just as loveable;);) So with that said, our lil guy, although only 2 months old, is already in 3-6 month clothing and has rolls everywhere. We are having an absolute blast with him. Big sister too!

Zack had his 2 month check-up and is doing great;) He's 12 pounds 9 ounces (75%) and 22 3/4 inches long (50-75%). He went from the 25% to the 75%ile already! With that said, our doctor put little piggy on a diet...I can hardly believe it! Apparently he is overeating...definitely not because of ME...he just eats and eats! I told the doc what a typical day of feeding is like and her eyes popped out of her head. I have a hungry boy! She told me I need to limit it...so how fun for me, NOT! You try and tell lil Z to take an ounce less at every feeding!:)hehe Anyhow, on a serious note, he is fine...just has a strong need to pacify himself and is eating more than he needs to so I am shoving the pacifier in his mouth before HE decides it's time to stop eating. So far today has gone fine;) Anyhow, yay for him! He's holding up his head like a champ, can practically hold up his whole upper body when on his tum tum...he's smiling, giggling, cooing, spitting, pooping, and sleeping...a happy normal baby.
