(her top right one cut a couple of days ago) December 26, 2002 Katelyn is ofically taking 1 nap a day from 12:30ish-3ish:) She is a big girl now and is soooo happy at naptime...no fussing at all! We are having such fun with her these days, it is pure joy! She started singing this month...she sings the word "Ball" with the melody of "Skip to my Lou"...she does it all the time:) She is also...(drum roll please)...PEEING ON THE POTTY!!! I can hardly believe that she is the same girl who was storing crayons in her potty on Christmas. She goes almost every night now, before her bath, on the potty for daddy:) Yup, he and I have both been guilty of acting like fools to show her how excited we are over this development. Katelyn's newest word is "Ewwwww" and she uses it at the right time which cracks us up. She definitely has opinions on what she is eating! That brings me to the only strange development this month. Our once, "Perfect Eater" is now turning finicky and losing lots of weight. It's not a big deal...she is very healthy, but she is only 23 pounds 1 ounce as of her last check-up only a week ago. That puts her in about the 20% for weight when she used to be in the 95%. Basically, her thin genes are kicking in and she is thinning out big time! She is also thinning out cause she is RUNNING EVERYWHERE...she barely stops to eat. We call meal time "grazing" since she stops for bites here and there, but really, it is quite the challenge to keep her seated for more than a few moments! Yup, she's growing up. She is a beautiful sweet girl. She and her friend Nicole, around the corner, have become the best of friends and she is just so sweet to Coley. We thank our lucky stars for little Miss Kate all the time...

18 MONTHS OLD!!! Katelyn, our sweet baby is a year and a half old:) I am a couple of days late in putting this update in since Katelyn has been quite ill...our poor baby had bronchiolitis, which is a virus of the smaller bronchial tubes in the lower lungs. She was in the hospital for a day and is now home safe and sound. It's been a tough week! She is doing great now, just a low-grade fever and a icky cough. On the happy side, she learned how to say "Yah," which happened at the hospital:) I asked her if she wanted her milk and instead of the usual "no," which can mean yes OR no, she said "Yah, thank you!" I was blown away! Our sweety is talking lots, learning new words/PHRASES everyday. She is singing lots, dancing, and just a funny little girl...always getting into mischief. I am very happy to have my little Katelyn back at home!:) At her 18 month check-up she weighed in just under 23 pounds (50th %) and a pinch over 32 inches (55%). She is a little one, but don't get me wrong, she still has some cute baby fat left on her to pinch!:)			VALENTINE'S DAY 2003
