Christmas Day With Katelyn 2002

She woke up on Christmas morning all smiles:) We showed her the presents under the tree and she was THRILLED with them (even before she opened them). The first gift she opened was a beautiful embroidered purse with Katelyn's name on it:) She put her toy lion and books in it since that is what every woman needs in her purse:)hehe Katelyn got some fun books to read as well...BUT, When she saw Elmo, she squealed with delight! (Thanks Eva, Chad & Emmi) Clearly that was her favorite gift:)

 

We had Christmas lunch with Katelyn's Great Grandpa Wheeler. We all ate a yummy meal while Katelyn ran in circles around the room cracking us all up. There too she scored on the gifts...

After a short nap, Katelyn was energized and the fun began at Grandma & Grandpa's house in Bell Canyon. We met there with Katelyn's cousins Tommy, Amy, Steve and James. Katelyn, of course, was the highlight of the evening. Dancing around in her pretty dress and just having a blast with her big cousins.

We opened lots of gifts there...Katelyn got some beautiful clothes, some more Elmo stuff, a video, some dolls...a whole crazy bundle of gifts.

Just when we thought the night was over, we decided to make our annual stop over at the Herrschafts and spread some holiday Katelyn cheer over there. Katelyn (and us too!) enjoyed seeing "Uncle Johnny" and the whole Herrschaft clan. Katelyn played with one of the cute little boys there who kept saying "She's so sweet..." He cupped her face in his hands and everything...yup, she's got those boys wrapped around her little finger.

Well, the fun ended there...we came home with a TIRED...oh sooooooo tired Katelyn and off she went to bed. Will and I chowed on some chocolate from Donna:) (THANKS A LOT!) and looked at our gifts just like little kids. I guess that is what having a kid does to you...turns you into a little kid too!:)
