The Story of Kate's Birthday...

She woke up on her birthday to me singing to her;) She hid under her blanket until she heard me singing:) Then she looked at me and asked "Am I really 4?!" I said, "Yes sweety, you sure are..." And she said, "Let me see" and stood up in her bed, eyed herself in the mirror and shouted "I AM A BIG GIRL!" I got the best picture of her checking herself out in that moment. I burst out laughing and we giggled together:) It was a cute moment. She and I got ready for camp, found a surprise card from daddy which cracked her up:), packed up her cupcakes (that she helped me make the day before) and off we went! Grandma met us at her camp to help me bring everything in. The teacher made her an adorable crown to wear and they sang this really interesting novelty birthday song. Katelyn and I were totally confused, since we were prepared for the "generic" Happy Birthday song, but we loved it nonetheless!:) Zack was already eating his cupcake (he sat with her class which was sooo cute) before the song was over. She blew out her candle and smiled from ear to ear!:) After that I went with her on her fieldtrip to "Creative Leap," which is a cute indoor playgym. She rode the bus and I met her there. She had a blast and so did Zack. Nana even met us there to give her a birthday smoochie. At the end of the fieldtrip I gave her the choice of riding the bus or staying there to play more, so ,well, obviously she prefered to do the latter!:) She happily rode home with me and when Will came home, we all celebrated as a family with grandma and grandpa:)
